this is a lovely rendition by Stephane of a song written by Django. Julian totally does the guitar justice. Hard to believe though, that Django did it with only two fingers on his left hand.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people actually read this blog.

Thanks again to all who email in.

Sorry about having to disable comments, but there was a hiccup with people writing in with giant chips on shoulders which had absolutely no bearing on topics at hand.

And for those thus inclined, might I point out the link at the right, to some horribly original puns.

Interesting.

And note:
the former Sedco is now Transocean-Sedco.

Same place.
Same company.
Same crap.
Same political grease.

yes, I know I posted this on Facebook, but it was such a blast I had to put it up here too. Use the full screen and stereo speakers if you have them.

wish I'd been aware of this guy back in the 60s and 70s. Still, he is so worth catching now. As Irishly blackly honestly funny as George Carlin back when.

He must have had a great time, doing things like touring with the (then unknown) Beatles in 1961.

thanks Maggie for sending me these. In the second one the high notes may have abated but the intensity has certainly grown. Same soul delivering.

Anyone who thinks this, and worse, is not still going on is deluding themselves.
And don't look to elected officials for help unless they are forced to.
Money talks.

At the very least, if you feel what's going on here is wrong, share this with your friends.

It's a lengthy bit, but so is your life.
